Situated in the hamlet of Bysheim, on the inland island of Oster\u00f8y, approximately 45 minutes’ drive from the centre of Bergen, is The Farmhouse @ Bysheim. The house is well over 100 years old and was renovated in recent years.<\/p>\n
The house belonged to the owner’s grandparents and her parents are still living on the farm.\u00a0\u00a0The owner, Hilde, lives in London and used to travel back and forth on ‘working holidays’ to renovate the house.\u00a0 It took a long time, as she did most of the renovation work herself, with a lot of help from her partner and family. The project was finally finished in June 2013.<\/p>\n
Huset har fantastisk utsikt over fjorden, og har en beleilig beliggenhet for lokale butikker, turomr\u00e5der, fiske, bading, sykling og andre utend\u00f8rsaktiviteter. Bergen er bare en 45-minutters kj\u00f8retur unna, med mange ting \u00e5 se og gj\u00f8re, i tillegg til \u00e5 v\u00e6re et utgangspunkt for mange dagsturer.<\/p>\n

The house has amazing views over the fjord and sunsets. The view changes all the time, with no sunset looking the same.\u00a0 It is a view you’ll never tire off.<\/p>\n

Oster\u00f8y er omgitt av flere fjorder:\u00a0Osterfjorden<\/a>–Romarheimsfjorden<\/a>,\u00a0S\u00f8rfjorden<\/a>, og\u00a0Veafjorden<\/a>. Det h\u00f8yeste fjellet i kommunen er det 868 meter h\u00f8ye\u00a0H\u00f8gafjellet<\/a> p\u00e5 kommunegrensa med Vaksdal. Det er ogs\u00e5 mange andre mindre fjell, med mye turer p\u00e5 godt merkede stier.<\/p>\n
